About the FBC Centre

Opened in April 2010, the FBC Centre is a community facility in Finchampstead which has provided a real boost to lives in the local area.

Of course, life in and around the Centre, as everywhere, is now a little different than before.

The building is currently closed to the public but the Café is operating a takeaway service from the rear of the building (the patio area) - with outdoor seating available - Monday to Saturday, 10:30 - 15:30.

Depending on the Government guidelines, we hope to be able to offer limited, indoor seating from 17th May and, possibly, the takeaway service will move inside (following the one-way system through the building) at some point before then.

The menu options will also steadily increase between now and then.

We hope to begin kids and U18 activities from 12th April and adult activities from the 17th May. These will work in the same way as before Christmas with safe distancing before, during and after, mask wearing and organisers managing the entry and exit of the attendees.

The Finchampstead library remains closed and there are currently no 'general' seating areas.

Most staff - FBC, Parish Council, Children's Centre - are continuing to work from home were possible.

The Church is 'meeting' on-line for the foreseeable future - click here

All gates to the field and play areas will be open daily, Monday to Sunday, 08:30 - 19:00.

PLEASE NOTE: if the car park is being used by the NHS mobile testing unit, the north car park will NOT be accessible to - and must not be crossed by - the general public. The south side car park will be open for the public.
We are not able to publicise the dates more than 48 hours in advance - please follow our social media channels for more specific updates.

In order to maintain everyone's safety, please ensure social distancing and follow the current guidelines on groupings, at all times, while in the car park and in all the public areas.

The car park gates will be locked at 7PM - each day - so please arrange to leave the car park by then.
