The Bible is a collection of 66 ancient writings - history, letters, narrative, wisdom, poetry and law. We believe it is also the living word of God, and is one of the primary ways he speaks to us.
Engaging regularly with the Bible - reading it, meditating on it, praying it, and working to understand its message and context - is a key part of growing in your faith.
If you’ve never read the Bible before, we’d suggest a modern translation - such as the NIV or NLT - and that you start with one of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John) in which you will read about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.
We’ve collected some tools which might help you in this.
