What is this role all about?
This role is all about showing God’s love to people in our community in their time of need by cooking and delivering a home cooked meal. It could be someone who has just come out of hospital, someone who has just had a baby or someone who has recently been rehomed. The team will sign up to cook and deliver meals for a short period of time.
Why is this role important?
Eating a decent meal has a positive impact on many aspects of someone’s wellbeing. We have seen that there is a need for this type of practical support in our community so having a team of volunteers who are willing to cook and deliver meals enables us to show God’s love to people in a practical way.
Who is this role for?
Someone who enjoys cooking for others and has the time to prepare a home-cooked meal and deliver it on a specific date. This role is for someone who can follow the food hygiene guidelines in their own kitchen and has a good understanding of dietary requirements and allergies. This role is for someone who cares about others and is willing to give their time and energy to bless them in their time of need.
