What is this role all about?
This role is about working in a team to pray, discuss and make decisions about the giving of the 20% tithe at FBC. This role also involves praying for and sharing updates from the organisations we support with the church.
Why is this role important?
As we seek to be responsible users of the gifts God has given us, this role is important in making prayerful and responsible suggestions to the trustees about what and who we as a church should give to. We are also responsible for reporting the impact of the giving to the church and encouraging them to pray for the organisations we support.
Who is this role for?
This role is for a committed christian who has a heart for organisations working to further God’s kingdom locally, nationally and internationally. It is required that you are a partner at FBC for this role. It is also important that you can work well in a team and contribute positively to discussions to help make decisions and recommendations to the trustees on behalf of the church.
What is the expectation for this role?
- Be a partner at FBC
- Attend four meetings a year.
- Discuss items on the agenda and review minutes and actions for each meeting
- Take responsibility for being the champion for one of the organisations we support
- Be willing to share updates about the organisation(s) you are champion for at Prayer and Vision evenings and in other communication with the church.
- Report into the trustees via the chair of the Giving Team.
