Kids Leader

What is this role all about?
Our Kids Leaders support and encourage a team of Kids volunteers and Young Helpers during a Sunday Kids Service. Your role as Kids Leader is to liaise and work with the churches Kids and Family Worker for planning and resourcing. You will lead the huddle at the beginning of the service and ensure that everyone is fully informed of the part they’ll play in the service. You will manage the ratios by checking in with the Registration Team. You will confidently be on stage leading the session welcome and some of the teaching.
Why is this role important?
We want our Kids ministry to be inspiring and delivered with love and we need confident Kids Leaders as they will play a key part in this. Jesus values children immensely and we want all children to feel part of something special on a Sunday morning.

Who is this role for?
Someone who has a real desire to work with children and who is confident to stand on stage in front of a large group of children, workers and young helpers. You will have excellent communication skills so that you can teach and explain new concepts to children of all faith backgrounds.
What is the expectation for this role?
- A follower of Jesus with a growing faith.
- A successful DBS application.
- Completed safeguarding training from FBC.
- Serving at least once in a four-week period.
- Following details in the planning provided by the Kids & Family worker.
- Open to training and feedback.
- Arrive at FBC for 9:30.
