Tech team

What is the role all about?
The Technical and Sound Team is responsible for running the audio and visual elements of our Sunday services.  There are two roles: Sound adn Visuals.  They involve operating sound desks, mixing the band, managing microphones,  running slides, video clips and song words. The team also handles audio feeds, lighting, and service recording—everything that happens behind the scenes to support what’s happening on stage.

Why is it important?
When things work smoothly, no one notices—and that’s the goal! Clear sound and well-timed visuals allow the congregation to fully engage with worship, teaching, and everything else that happens in a service. Poor sound or missing slides can be distracting; great tech keeps the focus where it should be. This team ensures the environment is seamless, clear, and engaging for everyone in the room.

Who is this role for?
This is for anyone with an interest in technology, sound, or visual media. You don’t need to be an expert—just have a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure. Whether you lean more toward computers and visuals or knobs and faders, there’s a place for you here. We provide full training and ongoing support.

What are the expectations?
Team members arrive on Sunday mornings at 8:30am to set up and run through the service with the band and other teams. You’ll help connect equipment, check all systems, and ensure everything is ready to go. After the service, we pack down together. Most of the prep is done in advance, so your focus is on operation, communication, and teamwork during the service. The expectation is to serve at least once a month.
