Lighthouse
What is this role all about?
Lighthouse is our mid week preschool provision that combines exploratory play, crafts, singing time and parachute games. The session is led by our Lighthouse leader who is responsible for planning and resourcing. This role involves welcoming families, making refreshments, setting up and packing away resources and managing the snack table. We run two sessions; one morning and one afternoon.
Why is this role important?
We want our Preschool ministry to be inspiring and delivered with love and we need confident Lighthouse Workers as they will play a key part in this. Jesus values children immensely and we want all children to feel part of something special when they attend a club at FBC.
Who is this role for?
Someone who has a real desire to work with children and who has a welcoming, friendly and approachable disposition. You will have good communication skills and you will enjoy working as part of a team.
What is the expectation for this role?
- Supporting set up/pack down depending on session you attend.
- A successful DBS application.
- Completed safeguarding training from FBC.
- Following plans shared by the Lighthouse leader.
- Regular attendance - ideally 2 or 3 week in a month.
