What is this role all about?
The Worship Team Band leads our congregation primarily on a Sunday morning in our musical worship, as well as at other times and places as our church grows.
Why is this role important?
Musical worship is a foundational part of our church, there are stories throughout the bible where there is singing and dancing, it is where we have the opportunity to sing our praise and thanks and prayers and confession to our God.
Who is this role for?
This role is for musicians of all abilities who have a passion and heart to worship God through their singing and playing. We have a band each week of all ages and backgrounds to help our congregation to sing together.
What is the expectation for the role?
We rehearse Tuesday evening 8pm for Sunday, we will provide you with music and microphones and big instruments! (piano, drums, amps). You will be expected to learn the songs ready for rehearsal, and then to lead together as a team on a Sunday morning. We meet promptly from 8:30 - 12:00 on a Sunday morning to set up and sound check with the sound and AV team, and we all clear everything away after the service. We hope that you would serve at least once a month if not more!
