We refer to people coming through the doors of FBC as guests because we want them to feel welcomed, expected and appreciated. Guest Services are dedicated to creating a warm, friendly and helpful environment for everyone who attends - especially first-time guests. It is our aim to help people feel seen, supported and safe from the moment they arrive.
This team sets the tone for the entire church experience - their friendliness and hospitality reflect the love of Christ and can often shape a guest's decision to return. And returning means people get to experience more of Jesus and shows we are living out our main aim - helping people find and follow Him.
Serving in Guest Services is on a 4-week rolling rota with options for swaps when not available on a certain week. We typically arrive at 09:30, join a huddle to get ourselves focused, then prepare our environments and start welcoming people from 10:00 onwards. We stay until about 12:30 after the service to clear up and pack things down.
